| General Overview | Sheldon is obsessive-compulsive about almost everything. Everything has to be in its place. He has a specific routine for every day of the week. Everyone is less intelligent than he is, but he tolerates that. Not everyone can be blessed with genius. It is his lot in life to be better than everyone else and he is grateful for that. |

| Personal History | Sheldon was born in Austin, Texas. His father loaded freight on ships and died when he and his sister were young and they were raised by their mother, who taught elementary school. He was born with a genius IQ and quickly advanced through school. He didn’t have many friends as he had a hard time relating to kids his age, and most of the kids he went to school with were much older. He graduated at a young age and went straight to college. He had scholarships to several colleges, but chose one with the best science department. He taught undergraduate courses in his late teens—which meant he had no social life at all, but he didn’t care. He has doctorates in astronomy, astrophysics, particle physics, and theoretical physics. When he graduated, he took a job as a theoretical physicist, studying wormholes and spatial anomalies. However, he always dreamed of going to the stars. The lure of traveling through space like characters from his favorite ancient Earth TV shows did was too great, so he joined Starfleet where he could continue his research while he explored the galaxy. It would also give him the opportunity to get first-hand knowledge of space for his own projects. He does not speak with his mother much, as he is scientifically minded and wants to find the unifying theory. She wants him to work in a bank and raise children. His sister contacts him from time to time, but he is happy to be left alone to do research. He makes a point of calling his mother on her birthday, Mother’s Day, and Christmas because the holidays mean a lot to her. |
