Looking at her physique it is obvious that she takes good care of herself and that nature has blessed her with many of the attributes that are found attractive in the female form. Her hourglass figure for instance is something that most women envy. With complexion that is flawless and a single beauty mark of a small mole on her left shoulder she gets a lot of stares from the curious. In sunlight Lei’s hair is radiant with heights that seem to glisten.

To others Lei appears self-confident and exceptionally well mannered. This is the result of years of training in etiquette and how to handle oneself in formal situations. Being raised as part of the elite of her society, her bearing is always proper and self-assured.

This is not to say she is not exceedingly polite and gracious though some have accused her of being far to hung up on formality.

Personal History Lei’hallah Asrar 'Inayat Ve’hassi was born on a cool spring time morning on the Azzian home world of Nebar. Her parents were happy with the birth of their first child and as is the custom for babies born in the Imperial family she was christened and bathed in Fah’loti water.(This is actually normal H2O with fah’loti flowers and oil.)

Her childhood was filled with learning to do the right thing and lacked much of the social time of other children. Lei enjoyed reading and playing in the large family garden. With the birth of her sister Adibah’ when she was six she found a willing playmate and someone to bring out the adventurer hidden with. Together they would swing from tree branches and get in trouble for running where they were not supposed to.

By the time she had passed puberty she was sent to a boarding school to polishing as a member of the elite family watched by all of her world. Though the Power of the Emperor had long ago been given to the people in the form of a democratic government, those who were blessed with being born part of noble blood were admired and looked up to. Because of this it was important for her to give her life in service to “her” people as did her ancestors before her.

In 2307 She was there with the launch of a new endeavor. After centuries of isolation by choice it was decided to send an ambassador to a government calling itself The United Federation of Planets. Their headquarters was on a planet called Earth and the species that lived there called themselves humans. Among their membership were many other species all seeming to want to live in peace. There were risks. Rimulans and Klingongs bordered the anomaly that kept their planetary system hidden from view. These were known as violent and untrustworthy races that must be avoided at all cost.

A man by the name of Abdel-Baro Ko’liki Sarovar Ve’hassi was chosen to be the ambassador for the Azzian Empire. He and his family were close friends to Lei’s and as such was well informed of how plans were preceding. It was decided that Abdel, his very pregnant wife Vo’niki Ko’tim (Ve’hassi) Al’ abio and several others were to leave on a starship. (Some may have questioned the choice of Vo’miki from among his eight wives in her condition but to the Azzians the gesture of bringing a pregnant wife to governmental negotiations was a time honored practice displaying trust between the parties involved.

On the appointed day Lei, her sister and family among many others were present to see the launch. She, as was her younger sister, were very excited and wanted one day to come and visit this world filled with peaceful people.

Not too long after the launch problems in the ship were detected. Their temporal drives had failed and communication with their home worlds was lost. New came some time later that the ship had been attacked by both the Klingons and the Romulans and had manage to make it through their territories into federation space though very badly damaged and with the loss of several of the crew. It was believed that they were intercepted by a federation ship that offered assistance. After that bit of new there was none for sixty days. Another ship was sent this one was to find out what exactly happened to the Abdel and the other passengers destined for Earth. The reception they received was less than warm. They were attacked by federation starships and warned to stay out of Federation space.

With this understanding the idea of making contact with Humans and having diplomatic contact with the peaceful Federation of Planets was placed on indefinite hold.

Lei continued her education hoping one day to try again to discover what had happened to their close family friends and their not yet born child. Then the opportunity after several attempts to convince the legislature to communicate with the Federation of Planets Lei was chosen to be the ambassador. She is currently in this position though her attempts to find out more information about what happened to the first starship and their occupants have been met with many road blocks. Requests for information from her and her entourage have been blocked and they are being kept under watch by Starfleet Intelligence.
