This past mission was Marine heavy and combat heavy. Whenever the Gunny tagged in and/or posted they were simply a joy to read. Action packed with his Marines being flawed as well as being the heroes. For the first time this award is to be given I can think of no better Marine to receive it. I look forward to seeing what Trembles team will do next to preserve the peace.

I'm nominating the Package Acquired post, a small misunderstanding led to a blow-up which basically turned the mission on its ear and, in my opinion, made it a lot of fun to read.

Captain's Personal Merit Captain's Personal Merit
Awarded Sat Jun 1st, 2019 @ 1:07am
Nominated by Commodore Tyler Malbrooke
For this mission I feel that Cornelius Tremble deserves an immense amount of recognition. He not only put himself out there to further the main mission but he also took the lead on a sub arc plot. Fleshing out the setting that is Empok Nor. Tremble is always available to write anything at anytime. It is for all of these reasons and more that I award him the Captain's merit.
Purple Heart Purple Heart

Nominated by Commodore Tyler Malbrooke
This award is given for the post series titled "A Little Torture Among Enemies". I approached Tremble with an idea for his capture and torture at the hands of the major antagonists of this plot. He not only agreed to it but added to the concept. His willingness to stick his neck out made this plot even better than I could have hoped.
Crew's Choice Award Crew's Choice Award
Awarded Sat Jun 1st, 2019 @ 1:16am
I'm a quiet one on discord because I like to observe before I start chatting. In this observation and the offing with him Tremble has been an person to talk to and log with. He's always looking for ways to log and has been pretty open to nearly any idea II've seen pitched, including my own for a little backstory we'll be playing out. It was a hard choice between him and 2 others, however, for these reasons I am submitting my recommendation for Tremble.

Captain Tremble aka Shane is a phenomenal writers and a team player. Both writer and character are team work driven. They are both shining examples, of what it means to be a team work. You can always count on them to help move the story forward, and to close any loose ends. As of this nomination, Shane had over 136 posts, and I guarantee you, in the majority of them, he has shown his level of commitment and dedication to team work and to this sim as a whole.

A huge portion of the mission Empok's End was battle. Both between ships and on the ground. I am awarding this award to everyone who participated in this epic battle scenes. Scenes that can be hard to write as they are very visual. These writers deserve special recognition for making you feel like you were there in the heat of battle. According to the description it says: "the crew member that the second officer deems worthy." Tremble was the second officer before and is now the first officer. His writing and ideas makes him the most worthy in my eyes. And his promotions to second and later first officer are a testament to his service to this sim.

The award description says a shining beacon of activity. For this month and for the first granting of this award I can think of no better that Major Tremble. Not only did they assist in getting the last mission buttoned up. But in the month that the new mission has been active they have contributed five posts. All of this while serving as the XO of this ship. A beacon indeed.... Keep up the great work
Character of the Year Character of the Year

Simply put Tremble mad 2021 a joy to read. During a harsh time in the real world he composed posts that were both poignant and humorous. Always available to assist with plot ideas and to keep the plot moving when it slows down. There are times when he is more than a right hand, he is the left hand as well. This game is better for his presence. 2021 was better for his writing. Thank you for everything...

Nominated by Lieutenant Commander Rowena McGowen
I would like to make this nomination to our outstanding Major Cornelius Tremble. He probably thinks he doesn't deserve this award, but I am sorry, Major, I disagree. Your input and effort in your function since the day you took up the position has been top notch. You have ideas, your are very involved in all the intricacies of this ship and it's crew. You are honest yet open and even if you think you failed because of our shortcomings as the crew, you haven't, they are our shortcomings and you did what you should as an executive officer and some of us, myself included, may have come over as not interested due to our inactivity, but from my personal experience, this is not the case. Please continue what you're doing and thank you for being our first officer.

The XO has been through a lot with the sim over the past five year. Both promotions and the low times when posting slowed. I want to thank him for being a great part of this community. Also for helping me keep this sim and ship flying. Here is to many many more.

I would not be able to run this sim without Cornelius helping behind the scenes. He is ever a sounding board and confidant when it is needed. Ever ready with ideas or to help shape the randomness that comes out of my head. He has already made it farther than any other XO, I seem to burn through them and yet Tremble is still here. It is said that behind every good Captain is a better Executive Officer. Lord knows that is true with the Pioneer. One fourth of this command team and I would not have it any other way. Thank you so much for your time and your efforts.

Every plot that Tremble designs for The Cure is better than the one before it. As this award indicates he shows considerable talent for getting other crew members involved in a plot line. It is for all this and more that I am proud to give this award to our First Officer.

For creating and executing the Crimson Tide posts in the underwater facility and especially for his portrayal of Kavicus.

Not only was it an interesting situation, everyone in the post was given enough information to come up with their own way of dealing with the hallucinations and then the arrival of Kavicus. He was a great villain and made the post a lot of fun to write.

The post titled "The Adventure Begins" stands out during this mission for me. If I am honest nothing major occurs there is no great revelation about a character. However, a simple look into what a crew talks about while approaching a station and vacation. What those expecting them talk about. There is a general happy feel about this post and that is something that after the last mission this ship sorely needed. I would like to commend everyone in this post for creating a great general Star Trek type post.

The post Marine, Security Meetup was not only an enjoyable read but it showed us crew members from different assignments coming together and forging friendships. This is what this award was created for and what the cross sim idea is all about. Keep up the great work.

Writing with any of Shane's characters is always a joy, whether it's exploring a horrific research facility or an underwater city and cave system. His contributions are creative and witty. Even bridge training keeps you on your toes. He's an asset to the sim as both a writer and First Officer.
