"Well, that was fun. I finally heard back from the old man. Seems like he does owe a debt to Shog, son of Larm of House Krox. And, apparently that debt is to be transferred to me at some future date, if Shog dies or the old man does. It’s some obscure generational debt thing the Klingons came up with.”

“Dad said it’s subjective, but Shog is taking it serious and Larta has to follow his lead, at least for now. It’s sticky in that if she makes a request that I can’t do or I outright just blow it off, it could start a blood feud with the Tremble’s being labeled oath traitors.”

“Which is fun, but inconsequential as far as my duty goes. For now, all I can do is wait and see. I understand the oath dad took and Trembles stick to their words. So, it might be something I have to do.”

“At any rate, meeting Larta should be interesting. If I survive.”
