Myles satdown to do what he'd been waiting to do all day. He satdown at his desk and initiated comms. After a few minutes he was connected. "Hi honey." He only said.
"Larim! How's things going?" Mrs Myles said. "Enjoying yourself?" She said, smiling.
"So far. Met the CO." Larim said. "Good guy."
"That's good." She said. Sly smile forming on her lips. "You're hiding something. Spill! That's an order!" lwaxanna laughed.
"We're the same rank! And congrats Lieutenant Myles." Larim said.
"Likewise, Lieutenant Myles." She replied. " Now spill!"
"I was gonna! How'd you like a post actually doing engineering?
Lwaxanna perked up. "I'm listening."
"Well funny enough the boss had the idea. His wife happens to be an engineer on Empok nor. There's a possibility that perhaps a spot is opening up. They'll put in a request for you to fill that spot."
Lwaxanna fell silent.
After a while she said what she was feeling. "Yessss!"
"Cool!" Larim said. "I'll tell them. Wish I could speak more but I gotta meet with the head Jarhead."
"Love you." They said in unison
