Mission: Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: Corridor, Deck 1
Timeline: MD001 1330 hrrs

Sofia had just finished her meeting with Captain Malbrooke. She was fairly happy with how it went given her nerves beforehand and knowing the Captain didn't really think he needed help. She still left with a smile though, albeit it may have been her just wanting him to like her.

Her hands were full of PADDs, work to be completed, forms to be filled. They started to wobble a little as she moved down the corridor, her eyes fixed on one as it began to slide off the top. She wasnt looking where she was going...

Tallida could do this. She could report into her new Captain and forget the fact that she had runaway from the USS Yorktown like a scared child. At least, she kept telling herself she could. The lies she had told to her caretakers as to why she was being transferred tied her stomach in knots. She didn't want to lie but she didn't want to go back. Not after the taste of freedom she had gotten. She never wanted to serve at Starfleet Medical headquarters ever if she could help it. She was giving herself a pep talk and not at all paying attention to the crewmen who rounded the corner ahead of her.

BANG!

A flurry of PADDs flew through the air like Andorian Ice Bats (if they aren't a thing they should be!) and the force of such a hit knocked Sofia onto her backside with a small thud. She looked up to see a woman, well an outline. She was standing above her, the lights from the corridor behind her. She was like a rainbow haired angel just coming into view.

"Oh my g--" Tallida exclaimed as her embarrassment made itself known on her cheeks. She looked down at the poor women that she had collided with. All the affirmations and positive pep talks she had bouncing around in her mind were blank as she just stood there. She didn't move she didn't say anything else. Simply froze.

A frozen angel then... the woman in front of her seemed to be stuck in time. A positively colourful statue of sheer horror.

Sofia rose to her feet, with some help from the wall next to her, and waved her hand in front of the equally unobservant woman before her. "Are you alright?" she asked touching the woman's hands for reassurance, a slight static shock running through her fingers as they touched.

The shock was two fold. First, she couldn't get over the fact that she had accosted some young crewman in the corridor in her attempt to keep her wits about her. Second, the sensation that passed though her when their hands touched. Pulling back as if she had been burned she instantly dropped down. "I am so sorry." She started as she moved to pick up the scattered PADDs.

She watched as the woman bent down to pick the PADDs up, Sofia followed suit and started herself. "No don't be ma'am. I wasn't looking..." she said as their was a brief pause as they were at eye level mere inches apart. She could feel her breath, the warmth from her skin almost like she was going supernova. The stare felt like it went on for a long time before Sofia snapped out with a slight blinking fit.

"Sorry ma'am." she went to grab the last PADD, their faces no further apart when he weightbearing leg gave a little forcing her to fall forward. Their faces met...

If this were a comedy show it would win prizes for seemingly slapstick events. Their lips were touching, as if they were kissing albeit it wasn't a planned move, just by chance. A jolt of energy surged through Sofia's body, the feeling you get when you kiss someone you like, almost excitement but at the same time filled with fear. She could feel the eyes of those around her and pulled herself back almost as instantly as the event happened. Her face went red, her eyes scrunched up with embarrassment. What had just happened?

Did that happen? Was that real? Tallida asked herself as she tried to figure out what had just happened. She was picking up the PADDs when she had locked eyes with the other women and then...The rest was a blur. The sensation on her lips was lingering as she finally moved to stand back up with the few PADDs in her hand that she had managed to pick up. "I, uh..." She started handing back the PADDS. She continued to stammer as she raised her fingers to her lips and stood there looking at the women who was eliciting these completely unknown sensations from her. The beautiful women. She shook her head. "I,uh." She said again her face matching the Crewman's in shade of red

Sofia opened one scrunched up eye, the woman in blue as shook as her as to what had just happened. This was like having that dream where you walk into class naked right? Nope! All real! She'll be the talk of the ship and she'd only just set foot on it this morning.

'Oh God, what is the Captain going to think when he finds out?!' she yelled in her mind as she tried to calm down.

"Ma'am I am so sorry. I don't know what happened, my leg gave way and..." she looked as the woman in front of her still looked rather dazed but still held the PADDs she'd collected. Slowly Sofia took them from her. "I need to go and throw myself out the nearest airlock..." she said out loud.

What the hell was going on? Tallida could tell that the poor women was just as confused as her and was just as embarrassed and shocked. No matter how she willed it, her body would not respond to her command to leave. There was something about the women that pulled at the doctor like the thread of fate. Finally shaking her head and clearing her throat. "I have to go." Was all she said before she moved to pass the women. She needed to get away before she did something she shouldn't. Once she was clear of knocking her down again, she took off in a sprint.

Sofia watched as the woman disappeared off into the proverbial sunset. For a first encounter it definitely was the strangest she'd ever had, and will be the most memorable for sure. Her name she did not know, the only thing was she was a Lieutenant in blue so either Science or Medical but she guessed that her name would not be hard to find out. The woman kind of stood out in a crowd.

I guess time will tell what future encounters will be like. It's a small ship after all...
