If it weren't for enlisted personnel a starship would not fly. In particular this is awarded for enlisted going above and beyond their rank and station.		Details
		Crew's Choice Award Sim Level Award Voted on by the crew of the simm in question. With the CO having a vote in the event of a tie.		Details
		Meritorious Newcomer Award Sim Level Award This award will be given to the newcomer who makes themselves known and puts in the most effort to make their character a valuable addition.		Details
		Most Improved Player Sim Level Award This award will be given to the player who shows the most improvement during the course of the mission. Truly an award to be cherished, as it is a result of a lot of time and hard work.		Details
		Non-Player Character Award Sim Level Award For the development of Non-Player Characters. The lives of our characters are in a setting populated by countless other people who are important to our featured individuals. This award marks the achievement of a player for his/her development of engaging, detailed NPCs who add realism and dimension to the simm.		Details
		Friendship Ribbon SIM Level Award For the development of a meaningful character relationship. The friendship may be either with an NPC of the player's own design or with another player character or another Player's NPC. The friendship should be an unfolding story over the course of multiple posts and impact the character(s) lives significantly. (*romantic relationships do not qualify for this award)		Details
		Departmental Service Badge: Command Awarded for service in the command department, including departments of Command, Strategic Operations, Flight Operations, and Communications. A player is eligible for the service badge of their department through commitment to their department over a period of time on the sim that the CO feels significant. (Each departmental badge can only be awarded once per character per year.)		Details

		Intelligence Prowess Award This award is given to an Intelligence Officer who has gone out of their way to protect and better the Pioneer. This could be from uncovering a spy, obtaining pertinent information which protected their own ship, the Federation, or a vulnerable populace. Sample posts are not required, but a detailed description of the situation is required.		Details
		Air Medal For recognition of piloting abilities. For proficiency in the flight operation of various craft piloted during any mission. (Not to be confused with the Flying Cross which will be reserved for acts of bravery in flight)		Details
		Flying Cross Presented to a Flight Control Officer for exhibiting outstanding flying abilities. While not absolutely necessary, people who receive this award typically have to fly their ship manually either in battle situations or emergencies. Sample posts are required. (When making the nomination please cite the post titles that you are using as a sample.)		Details
		Character of the Month Sim Level Award Character of the month is selected by the Command Team. This character has been a shinning beacon of activity, and has helped progress the story. As stated in the title this award is given monthly.		Details
		Support Character of the Month Sim Level Award This award is selected by the Command Team. It is given to the character who has shown the most support to the story of the Pioneer. This support could be anything from going out on a limb to save everyone to simply saying hi when someone seemed down. This support should be shown through a number of posts. As the title implies this award is given monthly.		Details
		Outstanding Post Ribbon Sim Level Award This award is to recognize a post for outstanding achievement in character development, plot continuance, etc. There is no requirement beyond the fact that the post made you feel amazed. Perhaps it made you reread the post. Perhaps the description was haunting or lyrical. Perhaps it made you laugh or cry or feel something else. Truly this award represents the achievement of the heights of writing that we all aspire to. This award is presented monthly.		Details
		Teamwork Ribbon Sim Level Award This Ribbon is granted to player characters who take the time to get to know the people they work with. When a writer completes at least one JP with everyone on the ship this includes NPCs they will be awarded this ribbon. These posts must further the plot. Whether it be a character driven plot or the main plot of the sim. Truly a ribbon to appreciate as it's recipient has a true dedication to writing and to this sim. If the above requirement is not met an explanation of why you believe the person is deserving of the award despite the requirement will be accepted and considered.		Details
		Most Creative Cross Sim Post Sim Level Award This award is granted to the most creative post that was written by officers from two or more different sims. The nomination of this award can come from anyone/anywhere. However, the decision to grant this award comes from the Commanding Officers of the sims involved. In order to nominate a post the title of the post must be cited in the nomination. If granted this award will be granted to writers from both sims.		Details
		George S Patton Jr Memorial Award Sim Level Award Named for the famed US Army General who led by example and was brilliant tactician in his own right. It is said that nothing was more exciting than to see General Patton engage the enemy. To honor General Patton this award is given to the crew member who writes battle posts/tags, making their posts enjoyable and exciting to read in the heat of battle. This award is given to one naval crew member and one marine crew member each time it is awarded, if applicable. The post that brought the nomination to light must be cited.		Details
		Library Excellence Ribbon Sim Level Award Awarded for the best writing style: clear, precise, and easy to follow - yet allows the story to flow smoothly and easily passed off to another crew member. Also includes spelling and grammar used properly.		Details
		Creativity Award Sim Level Award The Creativity Award is presented to those who come up with an outstanding idea during a mission. This can be in battle, a diplomatic meeting, medical crises, or even during a shore leave. There is no exacting criteria for the qualifications of this award. Sample posts are required.		Details
		Scheherezade Award Sim Level Award Named after the mythical heroine of the Arabian Nights, the Scheherezade awards intricate story-crafting. This goes beyond simple matters of spelling, grammar, and legibility; rather, it is for the obvious effort put into posts to make them enjoyable to read for all members of a platform and not just as enjoyment for the writers who created them – for telling a tale within a tale as they weave their own story within the greater plot of their simm. This award is an extension of the Library Excellence Ribbon: the Scheherezade is awarded for use of excellent language for artistic purposes and not just for the sake of making language more complex. It focuses more on the intent, but also on the successful writing of supreme quality posts.		Details
		Tour of Duty Award Sim Level Award This ribbon is issued to all participating players at the end of a mission that posts the sim to the borders or interior regions of a specific area of space, such as Romulans, Klingons, Cardassians, or others. This should be specified upon receipt of the award. This includes Expeditionary (first mission) recipients.		Details
		Zefram Cochrane Medal of Exploration Sim Level Award For those who excel at writing unique and well-thought out styles and posts during a mission. This could include discovery, first contact, battle scenes, romance, general obstacles, and more.		Details
		Whoopi Goldberg Diversity Ribbon Sim Level Award Awarded for the successful portrayal of a non-human character aboard a simulation. In the interest of diversity, this award is granted to individuals who have done an exemplary job writing and developing their non-human characters. Playing ruthless Romulans, killer Klingons, freeloading Ferengi, clever Cardassians, benevolent Bajorans, vigilant Vulcans, aspiring Andorians and any others, while doing so in an excellent fashion, is worthy of recognition. 		DeForest Kelly Humor Award Sim Level Award This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger. DeForest Kelley was as much a comedian as he was an actor of the 20th century. Therefore, this is as much a tribute to him as it is an award to any recipient.		Details
		Purple Heart Sim Level Award Awarded to personnel who are injured in the line of duty. They do not have to be on their deathbed, or even have broken limbs and such. Basically, any crew member with an injury or injuries that a CO feels worth making record of should receive this award. Also applies to POWs: Given to Starfleet officers who are captured by enemy forces for an extended period of time.		Details
		Ribbon of Merit Sim Level Award This ribbon is used to symbolize the great sacrifice that the men and women of Starfleet endure. These officers often pay the price for defending the very principles of the United Federation of Planets. A player must recieve a Purple Heart in order to qualify for this ribbon. Those who cannot perform their normal duties aboard their location of service due to ongoing medical conditions and wounds (both which must have originated in service) are eligible for this ribbon. Also encompasses the former Unit Citation award: Awarded to the crew member who shows considerable talent in working with other crew members to create a winning plot line worthy of the vessel’s reputation. 		Service Accomodation Award Sim Level Award Awarded to the crew member who performs his/her character's job and advances above and beyond the job description they were "hired" to follow.		Details
		Outstanding Volunteer Award Sim Level Award For the player who makes every effort to find significant ways to lend a hand to the simm's command staff. Performs excellent support work to the best of his/her abilities. Reserved for out of character contributions only, as such efforts differ in scope and often involve a player's personal time commitment beyond the game play. (Not as prestigious as the Ribbon of Commitment)		Details
		Recruitment Award Sim Level Award For recognition of recruitment successes. In order to secure a bright and long lasting future for the Pioneer, there must always be the continual introduction of excited and eager new players. This award is to recognize those who have successfully recruited a new player to the simm who remains on that simm for a minimum period of 6 months. (OOC award, not available to the simm's CO)		Details
		Professional Merit Award Sim Level Award Awarded to the character who has developed his/her character with considerable talent, making that character a joy to interact with.		Details
		Good Conduct Medal Sim Level Award For exceptional performance of one's duties. This medal denotes a committed and dependable individual both on and off duty		Details
		Service Citation 6 Months Sim Level Award Awarded to a member of the crew who has served with the ship for at least 6 months. This award is non-cumulative.		Details
		Service Citation 1 Year Sim Level Award Awarded to crewmembers who have served on the ship for one year. This award is non-cumulative.		Details
		Service Citation 2+ Years Sim Level Award Awarded to crew who have served on the same vessel for two years and for each subsequent year thereafter. It is becoming increasingly common for players to extend their service beyond two years and, as such, we reward those stalwart contributors		Details
		Service Citation 5+ years Sim Level Award Awarded to crew who have served on the same vessel for five years and for each subsequent year thereafter. It is becoming increasingly common for players to extend their service beyond two years and, as such, we reward those stalwart contributors. They are people who truly make this crew a family. 		100 Post Ribbon Sim Level Award This ribbon is given to a writer who has gained 100 posts with their PC character. Posts written as NPC characters do not count toward this ribbon. This ribbon shows a great commitment to the sim and plot by a writer.		Details
		200 Post Ribbon Sim Level Award This ribbon is given to a writer who has gained 200 posts with their PC character. Posts written as NPC characters do not count toward this ribbon. This ribbon shows a great commitment to the sim and plot by a writer.		Details
		Eight Hour Ribbon Sim Level Award This award is given to anyone who completes the Eight Hour Challenge. This challenge to concieve, write, and publish a post within eight hours. The post can be either a solo post or joint post and must constrain to the standard post limit. This award is part of the challenge series.		Details
		Ribbon of Commitment Given to a person who has truly put forth an indisputable amount of extra effort. This refers primarily to out of character circumstances. Recruiting, pulling the crew together, posting, helping to fill in the "gaps", and helping maintain their ship's website are just a few of the things that could count toward this award. Truly, this is one award to cherish when received. Sample posts are not required, but a detailed description of the events for which the award is being sought for is.		Details
		Bronze Star A player who demonstrates excellence in posting and playing his/her character “to the hilt” will receive this award. This is also awarded for task force level exemplary service, community engagement, and an overall good example of a model player.		Details
		Silver Star A player who demonstrates supreme postings, posts often, and plays his/her character “to the hilt” will receive this award. Must have earned the Bronze Star to be eligible for this award. Arguably considered one of the highest honors a crew member can receive.		Details
		Medal of Honor This medal is awarded for the showing of bravery and valor in the heat of combat. Recipients of this medal can serve in any department		Details
		Outstanding Character Award This award recognizes the efforts put forth by a crew member; as recognized by his/her fellow crew members, and Commanding Officer. In order to receive this award a character must have already received the Captain's Merit Award, The Executive Officer's Merit Award, the Second Officer's Merit Award, and the Crew's Choice Award		Details
		Outstanding Executive Officer Award This award recognizes the efforts put forth by a Executive Officer; as recognized by his/her fellow crew members, and Commanding Officer. A reason for the nomination must be submitted in writing. Evaluation and awarding of this award is decided by the rest of the command team, save for the XO.		Details
		Outstanding Commanding Officer Award This award recognizes the efforts put forth by a Commanding Officer; as recognized by his/her Task Force Commanding Officer. A reason for the nomination must be submitted in writing. Evaluation and awarding of this award is decided by the rest of the command team, save for the CO.		Details
		Character of the Year This award is given annually in January of each year and is decided upon by the Command staff. In order to be eligible a nominee must have been given at least two of the merit awards n a given year. Character must have also been awarded Character of the Month during the year.		Details
