The lives of our characters are in a setting populated by countless other people who are important to our featured individuals. This award marks the achievement of a player for his/her development of engaging, detailed NPCs who add realism and dimension to the simm. |

Friendship Ribbon SIM Level Award For the development of a meaningful character relationship. The friendship may be either with an NPC of the player's own design or with another player character or another Player's NPC. The friendship should be an unfolding story over the course of multiple posts and impact the character(s) lives significantly. (*romantic relationships do not qualify for this award) |

Character of the Month Sim Level Award Character of the month is selected by the Command Team. This character has been a shinning beacon of activity, and has helped progress the story. As stated in the title this award is given monthly. |

Support Character of the Month Sim Level Award This award is selected by the Command Team. It is given to the character who has shown the most support to the story of the Pioneer. This support could be anything from going out on a limb to save everyone to simply saying hi when someone seemed down. This support should be shown through a number of posts. As the title implies this award is given monthly. |

Outstanding Post Ribbon Sim Level Award This award is to recognize a post for outstanding achievement in character development, plot continuance, etc. There is no requirement beyond the fact that the post made you feel amazed. Perhaps it made you reread the post. Perhaps the description was haunting or lyrical. Perhaps it made you laugh or cry or feel something else. Truly this award represents the achievement of the heights of writing that we all aspire to. This award is presented monthly. |

Teamwork Ribbon Sim Level Award This Ribbon is granted to player characters who take the time to get to know the people they work with. When a writer completes at least one JP with everyone on the ship this includes NPCs they will be awarded this ribbon. These posts must further the plot. Whether it be a character driven plot or the main plot of the sim. Truly a ribbon to appreciate as it's recipient has a true dedication to writing and to this sim. If the above requirement is not met an explanation of why you believe the person is deserving of the award despite the requirement will be accepted and considered. |

Most Creative Cross Sim Post Sim Level Award This award is granted to the most creative post that was written by officers from two or more different sims. The nomination of this award can come from anyone/anywhere. However, the decision to grant this award comes from the Commanding Officers of the sims involved. In order to nominate a post the title of the post must be cited in the nomination. If granted this award will be granted to writers from both sims. |

George S Patton Jr Memorial Award Sim Level Award Named for the famed US Army General who led by example and was brilliant tactician in his own right. It is said that nothing was more exciting than to see General Patton engage the enemy. To honor General Patton this award is given to the crew member who writes battle posts/tags, making their posts enjoyable and exciting to read in the heat of battle. This award is given to one naval crew member and one marine crew member each time it is awarded, if applicable. The post that brought the nomination to light must be cited. |

Library Excellence Ribbon Sim Level Award Awarded for the best writing style: clear, precise, and easy to follow - yet allows the story to flow smoothly and easily passed off to another crew member. Also includes spelling and grammar used properly. |

Creativity Award Sim Level Award The Creativity Award is presented to those who come up with an outstanding idea during a mission. This can be in battle, a diplomatic meeting, medical crises, or even during a shore leave. There is no exacting criteria for the qualifications of this award. Sample posts are required. |

Scheherezade Award Sim Level Award Named after the mythical heroine of the Arabian Nights, the Scheherezade awards intricate story-crafting. This goes beyond simple matters of spelling, grammar, and legibility; rather, it is for the obvious effort put into posts to make them enjoyable to read for all members of a platform and not just as enjoyment for the writers who created them – for telling a tale within a tale as they weave their own story within the greater plot of their simm. This award is an extension of the Library Excellence Ribbon: the Scheherezade is awarded for use of excellent language for artistic purposes and not just for the sake of making language more complex. It focuses more on the intent, but also on the successful writing of supreme quality posts. |

Tour of Duty Award Sim Level Award This ribbon is issued to all participating players at the end of a mission that posts the sim to the borders or interior regions of a specific area of space, such as Romulans, Klingons, Cardassians, or others. This should be specified upon receipt of the award. This includes Expeditionary (first mission) recipients. |

Whoopi Goldberg Diversity Ribbon Sim Level Award Awarded for the successful portrayal of a non-human character aboard a simulation. In the interest of diversity, this award is granted to individuals who have done an exemplary job writing and developing their non-human characters. Playing ruthless Romulans, killer Klingons, freeloading Ferengi, clever Cardassians, benevolent Bajorans, vigilant Vulcans, aspiring Andorians and any others, while doing so in an excellent fashion, is worthy of recognition. |

DeForest Kelly Humor Award Sim Level Award This award is meant to help us all remember that a bit of light-heartedness goes a long way; even in the face of danger. DeForest Kelley was as much a comedian as he was an actor of the 20th century. Therefore, this is as much a tribute to him as it is an award to any recipient. |

Purple Heart Sim Level Award Awarded to personnel who are injured in the line of duty. They do not have to be on their deathbed, or even have broken limbs and such. Basically, any crew member with an injury or injuries that a CO feels worth making record of should receive this award. Also applies to POWs: Given to Starfleet officers who are captured by enemy forces for an extended period of time. |

Ribbon of Merit Sim Level Award This ribbon is used to symbolize the great sacrifice that the men and women of Starfleet endure. These officers often pay the price for defending the very principles of the United Federation of Planets. A player must recieve a Purple Heart in order to qualify for this ribbon. Those who cannot perform their normal duties aboard their location of service due to ongoing medical conditions and wounds (both which must have originated in service) are eligible for this ribbon. Also encompasses the former Unit Citation award: Awarded to the crew member who shows considerable talent in working with other crew members to create a winning plot line worthy of the vessel’s reputation. |

This can include but not limited to recruiting, pulling the crew together, posting, helping to fill in the "gaps", and/or helping maintain their ship's website are just a few of the things that could count toward this award. (Recipients of the Outstanding Volunteer Award will be given extra consideration.) Truly, this is one award to cherish when received. |
