Mission:
Episode 14 - The Poseidon Adventure
Location: USS Pioneer - Sickbay - Deck 5
Timeline: MD009 1130 hrs
Edward entered Sickbay. Approaching Kimba he asked her where he could find Hermia.
Kimba told him she was in her office.
The Marine made his way to the CMO's office and knocked on the door.
"Enter!" Hermia called looking up from her PADD.
Edward walked in and said. "Hey, Sis, how's things?" He asked with a smile on his face.
"Edward what are you doing here?" Hermia asked.
"Well, I was a expecting a "Hi, how are you? Good to see you." But you were always direct, so to answer your question, I've been assigned to the Marine detachment aboard this fine vessel. I believe they're called The Cure, but I doubt they're like the Alternative Rock band from Earth's late 20th Century."
"Of course, I'm happy to see my baby brother, I'm just surprised to see you, we haven't talked in so many years." Hermia said.
"Good, but don't start that little brother thing again, we're twins and you're less than five minutes older than me." Edward said. "Oh, and congrats on the promotion, Mum said you'd made Lieutenant Commander and earned the CMO position."
"Thank you, but you'll always be my baby brother, Edward." Hermia said. "When did you talk to Mum?"
"About two months ago." Edward replied. "That reminds me, where is that clever little niece of mine?"
"She's in school." Hermia said. "You can come to our quarters later and meet her."
"Cool." Edward said. "So, that brunette nurse of yours, what's her story?"
Hermia sighed. "Always thinking with your libido." Hermia said. "Keep your hands off my staff."
"Hey, hey." Edward said holding up his hands in a gesture of submission. "What's wrong with having fun?"
"Nothing, its just that when you have fun, I usually end up having to clean things up." Hermia said.
"I never asked you to that." Edward said.
"I'm your older sister, its my job. I just wish you could take other people's feelings into account." Hermia said. "You're not a kid anymore."
"Thank you, 'Mum', You have a daughter and you think you can be everyone's mother." Edward said angrily. "What I do in my own time is my business, so keep your nose out."
Head Nurse Sara MacCallum entered Sickbay and made a beeline for Hermia.
"Ma'am could you keep you your discussion down to a deep roar, I can hear the two of you in the corridor." She said.
"Sorry, Sara, we'll try to keep it down. I'm just having a difference of opinion with my brother here." Hermia replied.
"I figured as much." Sara said. She then turned to Edward, "I'm Sara MacCallum, Head Nurse." She said introducing herself.
"Edward O'Rourke, Combat Engineer." Edward replied with a smile.
"Don't even think about it, Bro, she'll break you in two." Hermia said.
"Hey, I was just being polite." Edward said.
"Yeah and we both know where that leads, don't we?" Hermia said.
"Well, looks like its time I made an exit." Edward said. "See ya, Sis. Nice to meet you Sara."
"You too Edward." Sara said.
Once Edward was gone, Sara said. "You're brother's nice and easy on the eyes."
"Don't even think about it." Hermia said.
