Mission: Episode 15 - The Evil That Lies Beneath
Location: Operations - Deck 6 - USS Pioneer
Timeline: MD005 0800 hrs

Rowena walked up to the operations office and rang the chime. She had a list with her as she thought the Intelligence deck needed some improvements and she was looking to see what the Lieutenant could do for her. "Lieutenant sh'Zoarhi, are in you?" She called.

" Enter," Thex said from her desk was she was running through the latest reports. " What can i do for you, Commander?" She said standing up from her desk with a warm smile on her face.

Rowena walked in with the best smile she could muster. "Lieutenant, I need some help with upgrades on the SCIF, and I am hoping you could help me. I made a list of the things that needs to be done.' She put the padd she was holding on the Andorian's desk.

"Of course nothing on my plate at the moment." She replied as she reached for one of the padds. " What do you want to prioritise?"

"I put out a list of upgrades for the intelligence suite. Specially the computers need an overhaul. Also...as you know the SCIF is only to be entered by intell personnel and personnel with a level 5 security clearance for obvious reasons, that is why I trust you only select only a small team, I would say a team of a max of 3 people should do the trick. And they will have to follow all my instructions to the letter, no improvisation, is that understood?" She leaned forward and didn't wait for an answer from the Andorian operations officer as she just continued. "I will make sure the computers are cleared of any sensitive information for when your team arrive. You can only touch the devices that are listed on the padd. And you do not under any circumstances go near or try to get in to the intelligence vault. Also during the work I reserve the right to have security and marine personnel present. Not that I don't trust you, I am sure you are a trustworthy person. But it is protocol. The information we carry is highly..." She put her finger up in front of the operations officer. "...highly classified and sensitive. If it gets leaked out it wouldn't be just the end of the Pioneer, but also Starfleet and the Federation as a whole. Do you understand me, Lieutenant?"

" I understand commander. Don't worry I've worked with intel before so I know how it works." Thex replied with a polite smile. " All this seems more than doable. I'll need to see which of my team isn't on shore leave and we can get started ASAP."

Rowena tilted her head as she closely studied the Andorian. Something seems off about the Lieutenant, but she couldn't put her finger on it. "Lieutenant," She started, "Are you alright? No after effects from last mission?" She tried asking, this time a bit more calmly and a more relaxed tone.

" Nope. No that i can see or tell. Didn't get much sleep last night but nothing other than that. Why are people getting after-effects from the last mission?" The blue girl enquired

"It seems a lot happened down there. I myself was unconscious for good deal of time." She looked around the room. "I sometimes remember, sometimes don't. But I haven't been able to sleep for a long time. Long before the mission. Nightmares haunt me, of a place. I have never been yet I dream about it."

" Have you been to medical about it?" Thex enquired her antenna moving forward slightly as she replied

"Oh many times. But nothing they do really works." Rowena shrugged. "Maybe you should ask the doctor what the problem is. I believe security has been looking for her, but no one seems to know where she is." She looked around seemingly innocent. But now that you are here, maybe you can talk to her." A grin graced her face as if she knew something Thex didn't.

" Wait hold on the doctors vanished?" Thex said almost standing up in her chair. " Furisulsy she began typing on her computer.

Rowena looked somewhat amused at Thex. "Well if that helps you cope with the situation, who am I to judge." She got up from her chair and walked to the door. "And and by the way...they're looking for you too now. So as I suggested, go find the doctor. Misery love company after all." She then vanished through the door.

Thex froze as her eyes moved from the commander to the door and then to the screen. The screen was blank with nothing on the screen. Standing up and heading to the door she poked her head outside. The corridor was empty with no sign of the commander. " Hello" she called hearing nothing back. She gulped feeling suddenly alone.
