Mission: Episode 7 - Home Again
Location: Holosuite 9 - Empok Nor
Timeline: MD003 1800 hrs

With the Pioneer safely docked and repairs underway, the crew rotations done, Tyler thought it best to relax. He found himself missing both of his ladies. After all that had happened he figured that Elloma could use some relaxation time. So he scheduled a date night on a holosuite. Tyler had programmed a resort on Earth in the Caribbean for the two of them to relax at. Perhaps take in a beach horse ride. All was set so now he sat at the table in a bathing suit and unbuttoned Hawaiian shirt.

Elloma had felt very alone for the past few weeks. She was not sure, what to think. Everything had been by the book, with the mission to Cardassia. The attack on the ship, and landing on the planet. "Where is Kat?" She asked, hoping no one from the crew saw them enter together. The last thing she wanted was a gossip mill.

"She is actually working with the engineering teams on getting the Pioneer back to top condition. With any luck she will join us in a little bit. I thought that a little alone time might be in order. The past mission has kept us all busy. How are you doing Elloma?" Tyler spoke softly and sweetly as he poured her a drink. He genuinely missed her and was concerned about how all of this had been effecting her.

"I am fine Captain." Elloma said, keeping her guard up a little. She was still coping with the attack from the New Maquis. She was not in shock, just the opposite. She was trying to figure out where they came from, and how to counter attack them. She needed to relax, and be on a liberty. But it was hard for her to do that.

Tyler smirked "Captain? I did not know we were so formal Lieutenant..." He chuckled "Penny for your thoughts, you seem not yourself." He took a sip of his drink and then stood up to massage her shoulders.

"I'm not sure what to think Ty." She started to say, then cut herself off. She wanted to figure out how to say this next part. She needed to be careful. "I think we have a mole, either on the ship or on the station. We almost died on Cardassia." She said, feeling a little on the defensive side.

One of the things that attracted Tyler to Elloma was the fact that she was intuitive. Just as he was, if not more so. He had been suspecting the same thing since the battle ended. "I am keen to agree with you. It has been recently discovered that the weapons fired at the Pioneer were coded with our shield frequency. That is why our shields were useless during that fight. Someone gave up the codes, the question is who. More importantly how do we find them?" He had ideas on how to answer those questions but he wanted to see what she had in mind.

"I want your permission to investigate this. I know we are supposed to be on shore leave, but this is bothering me. And yes I know I am also working on the first officer's mission. But I feel that I can handle both missions Ty." Elloma said, hoping Ty would not fight her on this.

He did not expect this to go the way it was. Tyler thought this would be a nice relaxing outing. However, Elloma wanted to talk shop. "Is there any progress on Quinn's theory? Where would you start with your investigation?" Tyler leaned back in his chair and sipped his drink. This unexpected line of thinking from Elloma piqued his curiosity.

"We are still pouring through the data, for a ship that was suppose to be idle for over a year, recorded a lot of data, some of it hidden as corrisons error packets. We are fixing them." Elloma started off, switching gears to answer his second question. "I would like to start with investigating our prisoner, and Makeba Brown." She said, looking to Tyler, to see what he was going to say.

He sat in thoughtful contemplation for a moment. "You have my authorization. However, you only have until we leave the station again. When our new orders come in I am going to need you at your post. I also have one other order confide your findings to myself and Commander O Flannigain only. This needs to stay quiet at least until we figure it all out."

"I appreciate this Ty. I will get to the bottom of this. Thank you." She said, trying to be very humbling at this moment. Elloma felt bad, she wanted to relax with him, but her mind was distracted. And she needed to get through this.

Tyler had come to know her better than she thought. "Is that all, you still seem a bit distracted. What kind of data did the ship record when it was supposed to be asleep?"

"Still pouring through it, with that said, it appears some accessed several systems on the ship." Elloma said, still not sure the full extent of the data that was accessed, or why it was accessed.

Tyler nodded in agreement to what she had just said. He took another sip of his drink as he thought. "You know that Empok Nor has better facilities for these investigations that you would like to run. I just a had a thought... I could place you on temporary assignment to the station. You would still be under my command and while there you can use the facilities to close your investigations. Of course this would be only if you wanted to..." His voice trailed off as his thoughts went to a more personal place. "Of course I would miss you terribly."

"That's sweet of you to say, I would miss you too. But we need to find this mole. It would probably be for the best." Elloma said, looking over to Ty. She did not want to go. But she had a duty to preform.

"Then it shall be done. Report to Lieutenant Commander K'Gunn as a Special Investigator. As of now what you are investigating is classified and if he gives you guff send him to me. But make sure that you take some time to yourself before reporting in." Tyler smiled as he raised his glass. "Now with the business taken care of perhaps we can get to the relaxation." He offered a toast.

"We both know, the longer I am here, the more time our mole has to cover his or her tracks. I should get started as soon as possible."Elloma said, feeling very guilty. She did not want to leave, but she knew she had to leave.

He looked at her a long moment, and knew that it was time. It was time for Elloma to find the answers she sought, and time for him to make a real life for himself on this ship. "Too right you are... Too right..." he started and then his voice caught in his throat. "If you feel that now is the time, then you should go." Tyler paused as he somehow knew that this was the end of their relationship. But the beginning of a new path for both of them. He only hoped that he would get to see her again. "Take care Elloma... You are dismissed Lieutenant."

"Take care Ty." She said, as she left the area, lost in deep thought. "Thank you, and I am sorry that work is getting in the way. But hey were both starfleet officers, right. We knew this could possibly happen." She told herself, under her own breath, so he could not hear her. She was saying it more for herself, than him.
